Original Fountain Pen Medium

A compelling mix of old-world elegance and modern design, Kaweco’s Original Fountain Pen is a striking, elegant writing instrument with impressive heft and finely-judged balance.

With a longer body inspired by Kaweco’s pens from the late ’50s, the Original immediately sets itself apart from the rest of the German pen maker’s range. Though it borrows the octagonal body that is something of a signature for Kaweco’s modern-day range, the convex grip and the long, slim form lends the Original a distinctive air, with a design that feels more natural to use for long writing sessions.

The matte aluminium finish is also a striking point of difference, giving the Original an air of subtlety and restraint. The aluminium body gives this pen a commanding heft, while the anodised coating keeps the finish smooth and scratch-resistant.
