Leonardo Petrol + Diamond Shimmer Ink Bottle – 40ml

Dark, mysterious and full of sparkle, Leonardo Petrol + Diamond Shimmer Ink is a fountain pen ink for writers who like a little drama on the page. A deep, dark base colour carries tiny shimmer particles that catch the light as you tilt the page, so your writing glints like frost at night.

What is shimmer ink?

Shimmer inks contain fine, reflective particles suspended in the ink. When the ink dries, those particles sit on the surface of the paper and sparkle. It’s a beautiful way to make journal headings, greeting cards, invitations and letters feel special.

Made in Italy by Leonardo

Leonardo Officina Italiana is an Italian pen maker known for vibrant, characterful pens and inks. This shimmer ink comes in a 40ml glass bottle.

How to get the best from it

• Shake gently before filling, because shimmer particles settle to the bottom over time.
• Use a medium or broad nib for the best sparkle; very fine nibs don’t lay down enough ink to show it off.
• Clean your pen regularly and flush it with water when changing inks, as shimmer particles can build up if left for long periods.
• Give it time to dry. This isn’t a fast-drying ink, so let the page rest a moment before closing your notebook.

Good to know

This ink is not water resistant, so it’s best for letters, art and journals rather than documents that may get wet.
