Specifications

What’s the main difference between HP Officejet 8120e multifunction printer and HP Officejet 8130e printer ?

The HP Officejet Pro 8120e and 8130e printers are quite similar in their basic specifications but differ primarily in their additional features and support options.

Both models have:

• A printing speed of up to 20 ppm in black and 10 ppm in color.
• Print quality up to 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi on HP Advance Photo Paper.
• Standard connectivity options including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and USB.
• Automatic document feeder and duplex printing capabilities.
• Compatibility with HP 923 series ink cartridges.

However, the HP Officejet Pro 8130e offers a few enhancements:

• It includes fax capabilities, which are not available on the 8120e.
• It provides one extra year of HP customer support compared to the 8120e, totaling two years.
• The 8130e also has slightly more robust security features, including SSL/TLS for secure communication, which might be more appealing for business environments needing secure printing solutions.

Both models support mobile printing capabilities and are designed for efficient ink usage, making them suitable for both home and small office settings. The choice between the two would largely depend on the need for fax capabilities and the level of customer support desired.
