Genuine OKI 46484112 Black Imaging Drum

The imaging drum is a critical component of the OKI LED printing system. During printing, the drum receives the image generated by the printer and works with the toner system to transfer that image onto the paper.

Over time, the photosensitive surface of an imaging drum wears and must be replaced. Installing a genuine OKI 46484112 drum restores the black imaging component with a replacement engineered specifically for the compatible printer.

Up to 30,000-Page Drum Life

The OKI 46484112 Black Imaging Drum has a rated life of approximately 30,000 pages.

OKI specifies this drum life based on an average of three pages per print job from Tray 1 using simplex printing. Actual drum life can vary depending on printing patterns, job length, paper type, operating environment and printer usage.

Important: Imaging drum life should not be confused with toner cartridge page yield. Toner consumption is affected primarily by printed page coverage, while drum life is also influenced by printer operation and the number and length of individual print jobs.

Compatible OKI Printers

The Genuine OKI 46484112 Black Imaging Drum is designed for the following models:

• OKI C532dn Colour Printer
• OKI MC563dn Colour Multifunction Printer
• OKI MC573dn Colour Multifunction Printer

It may also be referenced against the C532, MC563 and MC573 product families in consumables documentation. Always check the printer model and OEM part number before ordering.

Important: This Is an Imaging Drum, Not a Toner Cartridge

The OKI 46484112 is a Black Imaging Drum Unit. It does not contain replacement black toner and should not be confused with an OKI black toner cartridge.

The compatible printer uses separate toner and imaging drum components. Replacing the drum does not replace or refill the toner cartridge.

If your printer is displaying a Replace Drum, Image Drum Near Life or similar drum-related message, check the printer’s consumable status to determine which colour drum requires replacement.

Individual CMYK Imaging Drums

The compatible OKI C532dn, MC563dn and MC573dn use separate imaging drums for Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow.

Replace only the colour drum indicated by the printer unless preventative maintenance or your service requirements call for replacement of additional drums.

Technical Specifications

*OKI rates the image drum at approximately 30,000 pages based on an average of three pages per job from Tray 1 in simplex printing. Actual life varies according to usage conditions.

Installation and Replacement

Before replacing the drum, confirm that the printer is requesting replacement of the Black / K imaging drum rather than the black toner cartridge.

Follow the installation procedure in the printer’s user manual and avoid touching or exposing the photosensitive drum surface unnecessarily. Handle the replacement unit carefully and dispose of the used drum in accordance with applicable recycling or waste requirements.
